Maximón Case Study
Pulling inspiration from South American and Mexican cuisine, Maximón brings sensational flavours to Baltimore’s Harbor East. Located in the Four Seasons Hotel, their lively atmosphere is complemented by beautiful panoramic views of Baltimore’s Inner Harbour and a remarkable Spanish-style outdoor courtyard featuring stunning stone architecture and ornate fountains. Maximón values and respects the cultures they have learned from. Sourcing ingredients by directly purchasing from the communities that inspire them as a way to give back and support their local economies.
Kloth Studio X Maximón
For this project, Kloth Studio strived to work with Maximón to match the restaurant’s unique aesthetic while designing their server and bartender uniforms. According to the Director of Operations at Maximón, Brandon Guidry, “I would recommend Kloth Studio for anyone trying to express the uniqueness of their brand through their staff uniforms.”
To match the brand and joyful surrounding of the restaurant, we decided to make the first set of server shirts a royal purple long sleeve button-down shirt with a mandarin collar, gold contrast stitching, and gold ornate embroidery on the shoulder seams of the garment. For a more clean and light aesthetic, the second set of server shirts were designed to be a white short sleeve button-down shirt with a mandarin collar, sleeve tabs, and a similar ornate embroidery design on the shirt shoulder but in a royal purple colour.
With cohesion in mind, the black denim short sleeve button-down bartender shirts have contrasting royal purple accents throughout the garment — from the custom logo embroidery to the contrast inside the collar / placket to contrast sleeve tabs and buttons. To complete the collection, Kloth Studio also created custom black bib aprons and bistro aprons with dual pockets and contrast stitching to give the look a charming finish.
